Salon owner released on orders of Texas Supreme Court after Gov. Greg Abbott forbids putting coronavirus “scofflaws” in jail.

Dallas hair salon owner Shelley Luther won her freedom Thursday, thanks to the Texas Supreme Court and Gov. Greg Abbott.

Luther’s imprisonment fueled a national debate over public health vs. economic desperation, with conservative GOP politicians and media outlets fervently demanding her release.

Democratic State District Judge Eric Moyé of Dallas gave Shelly Luther 7 days in jail after she refused to allow her business to collapse.  And Democrats claim they’re friends of the average citizen, which makes them pathological liars.

President Trump also praised the decision to release the salon owner. Now it’s up to him to prove he supports the free enterprise system by immediately ending the shutdown.

Gov. Greg Abbott’s stay-at-home order expires Thursday, and many Texas businesses may open Friday.

Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday said, “His statewide stay-at-home order on coronavirus will expire on Thursday as scheduled, while Texas malls, stores, movie theaters and restaurants may open the next day — with 25% occupancy.” Apparently, he decided if the shutdown continued, it would completely kill the Texas free enterprise system.

He also said, “Barber shops, hair salons, gyms, massage establishments, tattoo parlors, video arcades and bowling alleys must wait until mid-May at the earliest to reopen.” If I don’t get a haircut soon, we will be calling this blog ‘The Conservative Hippie’s News Blitz.”
