Billionaire Warns of Nasty COVID-19 Side Effect: ‘Taxes Have to Go Up’
“When the government is called upon to protect you on the downside, they have every right to regulate you on the upside,” Leon Cooperman said in a Thursday interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” program. “So capitalism is changed.” Just what we need more government regulations as if ‘Big Brother” doesn’t already over-regulate its citizen. And taxes going up. I guess we’ll all be transformed into a slave, and you know how dismal the productivity of slaves is.
He also stated, “So the coronavirus’ impact on taxes is likely to mean U.S. citizens will be paying more down the road, but *Bauman warns those same citizens are going to “want a return on their investment” by seeing improvements in government performance.”

Bureaucratic Illusions and Taxes
Illusions die hard. Does anyone actually believe in an improvement in government performance? The only possibility for a more efficient government is for it to get out of the way and restrict its activities to protecting our life, liberty and property. That requires a minimal government which would mean pleasingly low taxes.
In his insightful book Bureaucracy, Ludwig von Mises explains citizens’ illusion of seeing a “return on their investment” by improvements in government performance.
“It is a widespread illusion that the efficiency of government bureaus could be improved by management engineers and their methods of scientific management. However, such plans stem from a radical misconstruction of the objectives of civil government.
Like any kind of engineering, management engineering to is conditioned by the availability of a method of calculation. Such a method exists in profit-seeking businesses. Here the profit-and-loss statement is supreme. The problem of bureaucratic management is precisely the absence of such a method of calculation.
In the field of profit-seeking enterprise the objective of the management engineer’s activities is clearly determined by the primacy of the profit motive. His task is to reduce costs without impairing the market value of the result or to reduce costs more than the ensuing reduction of the market value of the result or to raise the market value of the result more than the required rise in costs. But in the field of government the result has no price on a market. It can neither be bought nor sold.”
Now you can see why we need a limited government. Unfortunately, we’re saddled with a humongous beast that threatens to destroy our economic system…and it’s succeeding quite well. Do you believe higher taxes will make it more efficient? If you do, you live in a world of illusion.
What is Government?
Government exists as the apparatus of compulsion and coercion. When someone says the government ought to do something, they’re advocating more restrictions on individual rights. Instead of having an entity that protects the individual’s life, liberty and property, you see massive violations of his or her God-given rights. Do you want to supply the government with more taxes so it can increase its liberty-violating efforts?
The more powerful a government becomes, the more it attracts psychopaths and ignoramuses. The Coronavirus Pandemic gave these liberty violators the perfect excuse to increase their power as the shutdown and the destruction of the economy verified.
We’re now at the mercy of the Elite and its minions from the political and financial establishment. Our Founding Fathers are probably turning in their graves or weeping at what has happened to our once-great nation.
Can you imagine our pacified citizens starting a new revolution founded on the values that made America great? When the money (fiat currency) and food run out, you will witness destruction in the form of looting and rioting; however, you won’t see them calling out for a Thomas Jefferson. More likely, they will demand a strong leader like Hitler or Mussolini.
The Conservative Warrior
It’s more important than ever that we act as a Conservative Warrior acts. And that means fighting government interventionism, inflationary currency and higher taxes. I’ve mentioned it before, but we must adopt the following as stated by Carlos Castaneda.
“A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That’s control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That’s abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions.”

It’s up to you to soar as a Conservative Warrior…or give up and become another sacrificial victim being led to the slaughter.
Billionaires and Republicans
It’s easy for billionaires to call for higher taxes since they can easily avoid them. Regular citizens won’t be presented with the same opportunity, especially if the Elite manages to abolish cash and puts us at Central Banks’ mercy. And you better believe that’s what they’re up to. You might have heard that currency has nasty germs and could transmit Covid-19. One World Government, a New World Money, and a One World Government threaten your well-being far more than Covid-19.
By the way, don’t expect Republicans to protect or save you. They captured the Senate and White House, yet the shutdown, lockdown and destruction of our economic system continues. You can bet they’re controlled by forces too powerful to resist. Obviously, we don’t have a Thomas Jefferson or John Adams in the White House or Senate.
And, of course, the Democratic Party is so far gone we can label its members as extreme psychopaths or just downright insane.
Did you ever think America would be at the mercy of these people?
And giving them more of our taxes. We couldn’t trust them to honestly use Monopoly money, which is probably what they, along with the Federal Reserve System, will transform our dollar into.
Conclusion
Government has only one legitimate function—to protect an individual’s life, liberty and property. It has no right to confiscate your wealth through excessive taxation. All taxes combined should be less than 5%.
