Suggested Campaign Funds Use Restriction Act

Effective with the raising of campaign funds by candidates for any Federal or State elective position to be decided in a general election in the year 2024, and each year thereafter, said campaign funds raised by any candidate’s campaign may only be solicited and accepted from American citizens residing within the candidate’s election district, and,

Citizens are strictly defined as natural single-person individuals and specifically exclude all other entities permitted by law to act as persons, and,

Elected officials presently in office are prohibited from using campaign funds received from previous campaigns for future campaigns after January 1, 2024. Disposition of those remaining campaign funds as of December 31, 2023 are to be provided by law.    

Upon completion and resolution of the general election, after a period of 120 days provided for the final settlement and audit of campaign expenses, campaign funds remaining by the candidate’s campaign, successful or not, shall be transmitted and paid over to the State Election Division having had authority over them, and,

If a bill such as above cannot pass, repeal the 27th Amendment and return Senator selection to the legislature of each state affected.
