RESOLUTION ON UNITED STATES VOTING AGE
WHEREAS, Amendment XXVI to the United States Constitution provided the right to vote of citizens of the United States who were eighteen years of age or older, and,
WHEREAS, Amendment XXVI has been in effect since July 1, 1971, and,
WHEREAS, the effectiveness of Amendment XXVI was tested for Fifty-one years on July 1, 2022, and,
WHEREAS, it is the unanimous judgment of Conservative Party USA that after fifty-one years the ratification of Amendment XXVI is misguided,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Amendment XXVI is repealed, and the proposed Amendment XXVIII next shown herein be placed before the States for ratification.
AMENDMENT XXVIII
Section 1. The XXVI Article of Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed.
Section 2. The right of citizens of the United States, who are twenty-one years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.
Section 3. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be embraced as an official Plank of the Conservative Party USA.
