CP-USA rejects the nuclear Framework Agreement the Obama Administration is negotiating with Iran.
Notwithstanding having a bunch of IEAE inspectors crawling around Iran, the problem with the Framework is not that Obama hopes and prays Iran will not cheat. The REAL problem with the Deal is that Iran might actually abide and comply with its terms.
Obama has been telling us for the past six years that under no circumstances will the United States allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. This Deal, however, creates a “legal” pathway for Iran to get the bomb.
There is no good reason for Iran to cheat since the current Framework gives them almost everything they want in 15 years. Why cheat when Obama just gave away the store. They merely have to wait and outlast American and European resolve. The current Deal allows Iran to: continue operating 6,000 centrifuges while keeping the other 12, 000 in storage; retain its entire nuclear infrastructure; continue to enrich uranium and keep that stockpile in Iran; continue to conduct nuclear R & D; have many of those tough economic sanctions lifted immediately which will help fund their nuclear ambitions; be taken off the Terrorist Watch List; AND..wait for it…legally build a nuclear bomb after 15 years without restrictions.
How sweet, why cheat? While 15 years is an eternity in American politics, it’s a mere blink of an eye for radical Ayatollah’s who still think the Crusades happened last Easter.
This Framework does not even address Iran’s world-wide support of terrorism or its support of rebels in Yemen and Syria or its human rights violations or its refusal to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist. Iran will continue doing all those destructive activities without accountability under this Deal.
Unlike Obama, when Iran, ISIS and the Taliban proclaim something….they actually mean what they say. When Iranian Ayatollahs repeatedly scream “Death to America” they really mean it. When Iranian military leaders say “The destruction of Israel is non-negotiable” they are not kidding. When Iran says it wants to spread its brand of Islam to the rest of the Middle East, we’d better believe them. They are serious. No jokes folks. The Saudis, Egyptians and Israelis know the score and are scared stiff.
But the biggest irony with this Deal is that all those liberals, media types (many of whom are Jewish) and Democrats who now inexplicably support the idea of Iran having a nuclear program are the very same people who go ballistic whenever someone tries to build a nuclear power plant anywhere in the US. How strange! It’s obvious that liberals and Obama have no problem with Iran these days because they now believe that Indiana is the real threat to world peace.
Conservatives and all Republicans with courage (both of them) must urge Congress to reject the Deal. Iran must not be allowed to get a nuclear bomb…EVER. The best way to ensure that never happens is to tighten the current sanctions regime and to ratchet up all banking, trade, oil and financial sanctions. Tough sanctions got Iran to the negotiating table in the first place and tougher sanctions will eventually drive them away from trying to get a bomb. The current Deal will only delay the day of reckoning when the US and/or Israel will have to take military action. Tough and unabated sanctions will avoid war.
Obama is morphing from simply appeasing Iran to enabling Iran. Unlike all his health care promises to the American people, Obama really means it when he says “If Iran wants to keep its nuclear program, they can keep their nuclear program. Period.”
